ELECTRIC ON-DEMAND ALL WHEEL DRIVE
Designed specifically for compact hybrid vehicles, the standard eAWD system uses a motor to drive the rear wheels. This provides stability when starting off and when starting off and on slippery and snowy road surfaces.
EXCEPTIONALLY SMOOTH TNGA-PLATFORM
With a lower centre of gravity, reduced weight and increased rigidity, the second-generation TNGA-C creates a wider stance and a lower driving position that feels nimble, yet comfortable.
THREE RESPONSIVE MODES
Choose from NORMAL, ECO and SPORT modes. ECO enables finer accelerator control and enhanced fuel economy. Select SPORT mode for enhanced throttle responsiveness.
IMPROVED BATTERY PACK
Located under the rear seat, the newly developed lithium-ion battery pack offers a 15% increase in output compared to the previous generation Nickel Metal battery - with reduced size and weight.

BLIND SPOT MONITOR WITH SAFE EXIT ASSIST
For added safety and peace of mind, Prius comes standard with a Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) with Safe Exit Assist (SEA). BSM alerts you to the presence of vehicles in adjacent lanes that may have escaped visibility in your side-view mirrors. While SEA alerts you to oncoming traffic before you open the door to exit.
