Buying a Car: At the Dealership
Posted on February 12, 2013
Once you know what you want and what you can afford, it is time to start shopping for the perfect vehicle.
When you begin looking for the right dealership be sure to look for a dealership with “no nonsense” advertising. Ensure the car prices match the prices they advertised when you go to the dealership. You also want to ensure the dealer fees are included in the vehicle price.
It is important to clearly communicate with your sales representative. This will reduce the chances of any misunderstandings and help you feel more comfortable asking questions. Purchasing a new vehicle is an important decision, take your time and go with what feels right to you.
When you are test driving the vehicle, spend at least 30 minutes in it to ensure it feels right to you. This will give you the opportunity to look over everything and get comfortable with the car. Be thorough and test everything in the vehicle to ensure you are comfortable taking it home for the first time.
When shopping for cars, ask for a comprehensive history report (carproof.com). This will give you an overview of the vehicles history. You can also opt to have the car inspected yourself by a licenced BCAA mechanic.
Take your time, be thorough, and enjoy this exciting new experience.
